I was born and raised in an around the suburbs of Milwaukee Wisconsin. I was introduced to the game of golf around the age 6 by my Great Aunt. Throughout my adolescent years I played off and on when I could. I had a successful 20 year career as a U.S. Marine Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician that I carried on into the civilian sector. Those many memorable experiences brought me to excellent golf courses around the world. The problem was that I never felt that I was good enough to play on such majestic courses. I never had any type of formal instruction and advice from family and friends was often conflicting and confusing. So I set out to learn all that I could about the game and how it was played. Finally, with a much improved game, I achieved a certification as a Professional Golf Instructor, Club Fitter, Club Maker and Club repairer in 2009. I opened (and soon closed) a golf learning center in Thailand because I wanted help anyone that wanted to learn the game achieve their goal. Back surgery took me out of the game but it didn't take away my desire to help. The more people that play the game the more I myself enjoy it. I wanted to make the process of learning as simple and enjoyable as possible while still gaining the maximum benefits. That is my inspiration for writing this book.
