I am a retired US Government employee who recently finished a second career as a Defense contractor in the United Kingdom. I started writing fiction some 20 years ago but, with a full-time job and other obligations, I never gave my writing the time necessary to become truly successful. Now, I hope to devote full-time to being an author. I have written three novels and several short stories, a couple of which have appeared in online publications.  The first novel, "The Ghosts of Hanoi,” concerns the aftermath of the Vietnam War and the plight of the numerous POW/KIAs who were never accounted for.  The second novel, “Duly Constituted Authority,” is what you might call a political/military potboiler focusing on a feud between the Pentagon and the White House. The third, entitled “In the Name of the Sun,” is a military science fiction thriller set in the latter half of the 21st Century. All are available as ebooks at Smashwords.com, and several ebook distributors including Barnes & Noble, and Kobo. They are also available for the Kindle reader at www.amazon.com.  A paperback copy of “The Ghosts of Hanoi” can be obtained on the Amazon site if so desired. I have been published extensively in government documents and publications, the majority of which, alas, cannot be viewed by the general public. My novels can be described as being halfway between Alan Drury and Tom Clancy. The short fiction tends toward horror and SF. Who knows where the muse takes us when we sit down and hit the keyboard?  I currently live in northern Rhode Island with my wife, Cathy, two step-children, and a very rambunctious cat.
