Givanni was born in Raleigh, NC to a single mother on the south side of the city. All throughout his life he knew that there was something different about him compared to other people. Although he enjoyed playing like other children he was always fascinated with the arts. By the age of six he was writing his first poem and by his teens he was winning awards for his writing. Givanni has an Associates degree in Business Administration and a Bachelors' of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Even though he felt the urge to grow into something that he felt was required by society he could not shake this love of writing because it was truly his calling. To be inspired by the couple walking in the park or the leaf that falls from the trees in the beginning of autumn was something that truly made him feel alive. In 2013 he was able to finally gain the guts to copyright and publish a book that he was brave enough to share with the world. This was his fourth book, but the only one that he published. Dater’s Almanac for Men captures the perspective of a single man living in an upside down realm of what used to be traditional relationships. The subtypes of how a woman can be perceived based on actions or the common things that they say is what makes this book impossible to put down. Although it was written for men, women seem to have taken a liking to it more than men. The overall goal for Givanni is to have the world read his book because he loves the enjoyment of a great conversation. The wonderful reaction that is given in the battle of the sexes is timeless and will never die. What makes men tick? What do women really want? These are questions that can be answered differently by all individuals in their own way. Today he is a father of a special young man and he loves being a father to him. They enjoy playing basketball, fishing and watching football. Living life to the fullest and reaching his highest point of potential are his career goals. Raising his son to be a strong man of tomorrow are his family goals. Major influences that have affected his life are MLK, Malcolm X, Christopher Wallace, Lauryn Hill, The Beatles, Jay-Z, Dr. Umar Johnson, His mother, and most importantly God.
