I write horror and psychological thrillers. Up until last year, I had been working on my dissertation in Clinical Psychology however, like with many students, my coffers ran dry. My work experience was comprised of working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health issues. This has been a huge influence on my work. I have been a horror fan all my life and with the prodding of my wife, my mother, my father and my stepmother, who always thought I had a writing gift, I turned out my first whole piece of work…FISH TO DIE FOR. I am influenced by such writers as Richard Laymon, Jonathan Kellerman, Joe McKinney and Ben Rehder to name a few. So far, I have only written the one novelette, FISH TO DIE FOR, but I am currently working on a novel set in Uncertain, Texas called BAPTISM, another novelette based on a disease contagion from goldfish called HOLE IN THE HEAD and also plan to write a story regarding the fear of insects called ENTOMOPHOBIA, The two novelettes will be published in print anthologies in the near future. FISH TO DIE FOR, my first story, took 4th place in the P&E Annual Readers Poll for Short Horror Story (2013). Susan Simone, the incredible and beautiful artist grabbed 1st place for the cover. Currently my book is #17 out of 733 books in Goodread’s Little Known Gems Poll. My story was nominated for the J. Ellington Ashton Best Short Story of 2013 and yours truly was nominated for Best Writer (my novelette against full novels) for 2013!
