I'm a self-published writer, who has had seven books published with Publish America. While I've spent the majority of 2013 trying to find either a more traditional publisher, literary agent, or promoting my work, I've decided that this year, alone, I'll just change self-publishers and do more creative writing. As of now, I'm with Amazon.com Kindle direct publishing and Createspace. While my desire is to try and make it work with these two publishers, I find myself, while hopeful, very pessimistic over my future with them. I would have to say that the key motivations behind my writing are, first, my sister and then, second, the rest of my family. While I love almost everyone in my family, I get more ideas from my sister; especially when it comes to my children stories.

I won first and second place, at the university that I was attending, in an essay and story contest. Also, I've had a few honorable mentions in poetry contest(s).
