Sharon Burch Toner is the author of the Maggie McGill Mysteries series. This series of lighthearted mystery adventures features a mother/daughter team, Maggie and Allie McGill. The two strong, independent, and resourceful women romp through their mysterious and frightening adventures with grace and an enduring joie de vivre that serves them and the reader well. Sharon Burch Toner writes a novel a year. Now that her sixth book, Maggie's Ghost, has been completed, she has begun work on the next book of the Maggie McGill Mystery series, as yet untitled. She says, “Book number seven is set in a blinding blizzard and is being written in solidarity with my friends and family living through a very cold winter east and north of here. Writing is what I do. And I love it!" Sharon’s Irish grandmother gave her a lifelong appreciation for a story well told. She was born and lived much of what she considers a nearly idyllic childhood in the hills of southern Indiana where she learned to love the earth and its creatures. She has cherished memories of long summer afternoons on a farmhouse porch while her Irish grandmother wove fascinating tales of the long ago world of her own childhood. From this Sharon Burch Toner acquired a lifelong appreciation for a story well told. She pursued a career as a psychotherapist for nearly twenty years before she turned to writing as her ideal occupation. After a life as mother, psychotherapist and spiritual explorer, writing is her retirement occupation. She says that for her writing is as necessary as food and shelter. The Maggie books, in part, are written as an homage to Amy Toner Jones, who taught and inspired Sharon from the moment of her first breath. She lives with her two feline roommates in southern California
