I've wanted to be a writer from the day I learned to read. My parents were against it because "writers don't make any money." So I didn't get started until later in life. My high school English teachers were a big influence, followed by my friend and mentor, Arline Chase. I also had two great college English professors who spurred me on. I write because I want people to know how much God loves them, and how God wants to help all of us through every trial we face, because life comes built in with problems and trouble. It's one of the reasons why we need God. I don't preach; I show. I write about life situations and how the choices we make affect so many other people. I write about heartache and comfort, trouble and peace. I write ficition because it's a safe place for people to read about real situations in the lives of fcitious people.  The news media is filled with fodder for fiction. It's a safe venue to learn about ourselves. Writer's Digest has been a huge blessing to me for many years, and some of their regular contributors are major sources of inspiration and help for me. Some authors also have free online writing programs that keep me accountable and keep me writing. I read some of their books and follow their blogs. Some of the authors I enjoy reading also make me want to learn to write with the same passion and clarity as they.

I completed Holly Lisle's "How To Write Flash Ficition That Doesn't Suck" workshop. I am enrolled in a program through Dream, Play, Write. I have two published novels, one through a POD company, and the second was self-published. I also am on several social media sites.
