Becoming a grandmother was the fuel that fed the fire, and I decided to leave my grandchildren a legacy of words that would outlast any other inheritance I could give.  I started writing with the Emerson's Attic series about a 14-year-old time traveler.  I love this age group and find it very easy to write about, all I have to do is remember how I felt at that age.  The first two books, The Blue Velvet and Smoke and Mirrors, have been published and I'm working on the third.  I plan to keep writing Emerson's attic and hope to add other children's books as well.
