I like to make things up. Always have. I like history, too. Legends? Not so much. Sorry, Mr. Ford.
I grew up in Las Vegas when it was still a town, not a fantasy factory, and consider myself lucky to have had that experience. I've sold or optioned screenplays and attended UNLV, UCLA, and Cal, graduating from UCLA with a degree in history. I have enjoyed a variety of writer's experiences, including classes by Robert McKee and John Truby.
My favorite writers include Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, James M. Cain, David Goodis, Sam Fuller, Ross Macdonald, John D. MacDonald, Robert Crais. Michael Connelly, Robert Ellis, Elmore Leonard, and Larry McMurtry.
