Growing up in Maryland, I was always searching for science fiction and fantasy books in my library, and could not understand why I stood alone.  Each story had to have an otherworldly flavor steeped in imagination in order to capture my interest. Everyone else wanted emotional drama and realism. How boring!    Finding slim options in libraries and stores, I began writing my own stories full of adventure and mystery. It was years later that I was invited to a writers group in Covington, Georgia, and began to consider sharing my stories with the world.    I spent several years attending writers conferences and learning the craft of writing. No matter how much I learn, I am quite sure I will spend the rest of my life attempting to improve my craft.    Now that my first science fiction/romance is published, I am feverishly working on the next book in the series. Writing is so much fun. I just wish I didn’t have to sleep.
