My mother always told me I should be a writer, and I did enjoy writing stories as a child. But, as an adult, I ended up being a TV newsreporter and only wrote news. However, in college, I wrote a fantasy novel with my two best friends. We wrote between 1978 and 1982, then just stopped. In 2012, we dug out the old book, finished it and I spent 3 years polishing it before Ravenswood Publishing picked it up this year. Sara Cole, my co-author and I have continued to write, and book two in the Irene Nan and Kay series comes out next year.
I love collaborative writing. Sara has great ideas for plot and I enjoy doing dialogue. We make a great team.
