Manichand Beharilal is a full-time author. He was born in Umzinto on the Kwa-Zulu Natal south coast in South Africa in 1960 and grew up in Springfield, Durban.
He is an in-demand motivational speaker, and facilitates Creative Writing Workshops and Reading Empowerment Seminars, and regularly participates in several literacy and literary programmes and events.
He writes the widely-acclaimed and popular THEMBI AND THEMBA books and, AYANDA books for children and also the Early Childhood Development LEARN TO READ-READ TO LEARN books in an African context for the proudly African children for the South African Literacy Foundation.
