One day my father laid out the wooden medallions from the garage door and gave me a bucket of green paint and a brush. I loved the way the paint glided onto the wood and how a simple color could change the whole look of something. I was hooked!
My urges to paint and enjoy color focused in the great City of Chicago at interior design school. This was during the days when I drew rooms to scale and painted them in watercolors. I especially liked contouring, shadowing, and creating color schemes with fabric.
I respond deeply and happily to color. I most enjoy bringing a little bit of color into my world for a few minutes each day to recharge myself. I treasure the lingering moments of joyful color. I hope that you do, too.
