I've always been a writer and a voracious reader. My work is informed by the fantasy greats of the past: Anne McCaffrey, Katherine Kurtz, Marian Zimmer Bradley, David Eddings, Robert Jordan, and J.R.R. Tolkien and shaped by the writers I love from today: Jim Butcher, Kim Harrison, and Kevin Hearne. Music also plays a huge part in my creative process. I especially love heavy metal, specifically melodic power metal. Going for a run and rocking out always helps my process along.
