In this eccentric tale set in a small town in northern India, Pawan Mishra masterfully weaves ingenuity and sarcasm in a manner that’s simultaneously hilarious and tragic.
"I never understood a lot of things less complicated than why people put up with each."
Background
Information
I'm a Texas journalist, meaning I'm used to living in inexpensive apartments and driving paid-for used cars. I don;t not have a wife or children, which is probably best for all concerned. "Songs From Richmond Avenue" my first novel; I'm in the process of writing a second.
My biggest influences would be John Steinbeck, John Irving, Hunter Thompson, Charles Bukowski, Sinclair Lewis, and even though I don't always get it, Thomas Pynchon. Also Bob Dylan Bruce Springsteen and George Carlin.
