While I love to read, and have been doing so since I was child, I never thought I would be an author. After all, who was I, and why would anyone listen to me? When I finally got the courage to write my first book, I knew that there was a purpose bigger than myself. I wasn't writing to become a best-selling author, but I was sharing my story with the hopes that someone would be inspired, or perhaps learn from my mistakes. My motivation for writing is one part cathartic and one part calling. I believe that my stories can set captives free, including myself, by sharing experiences and imparting wisdom that may not be widely or openly discussed. I write to inspire others in a way that is transparent and relatable, with that hope that my readers will also gain the courage to share and face their truth.
