She enjoys serving and inspiring individuals to believe in themselves and change for the better. She likes to line dance, yoga, movement activities, bowl, crochet, travel and spend time with family.

She recently in 2018 retired from Public Health after twenty-seven plus years of expertise in the field of Social Worker Case Management for a maternity clinic. At her retirement luncheon, she was awarded the Old North State Award from the office of Governor Roy Cooper due to being nominated by her co workers. This award was for her years of service and volunteering in the community ..
