Writing has always come easy to me, although my style is rapid (I never could fill a blue book at Harvard but managed good marks with my abbreviated work). Dr. Asimov helped my interest in science fiction writing immensely and I started my current trilogy with "The Synthetic Race" in the late fifties. Vascular surgical training and private practice put novel writing on hold until late 2003 when I rediscovered and finished this first book in the trilogy. The second book, "The Shepherds of Earth" which describes the ongoing adventures of the group introduced to you in the first book is also now published. I am part way through the third book, "Delivery from Terror", which should be finished and published this spring, 2007. I have written many surgical articles under my own name, David Randall Jackson, MD, and about 12 short stories which number I hope to elongate into a collection of such in the near future. Four of the short stories have won prizes in creative writing contests in Worcester Medicine and other magazines.

Nothing yet in fiction writing, but I only started publishing in 2003. I guess you could include a satisfying vascular surgical career as well.
