Wanda McKiver is a New Jersey native who is conscience of today’s social issues among African American people. She grew up witnessing her peers use violence to solve problems. Today she is utilizing her writing skills to communicate with that very same community that indeed violence isn’t the answer, in fact it could have lethal results.

Ms. McKiver’s writing style incorporates every day drama with a twist. She quotes “No disrespect to Terry McMillan, but before Stella got her groove back, honey girl had to go through something”, and Ms. McKiver brings that “something” to the table, exposing the ugly truths that lie behind the black woman. Some will find her work difficult to read. Although fiction, her stories will be real for some, unfortunately, most.
