800x600 I am a 'tried and true' country girl who was born, raised, and continues to live in Northeast Wisconsin. I enjoy writing fantasy/romance novels, and also dabble in writing dramatic stage plays, which have been performed by 'The Atlantic Stage' in Myrtle Beach, SC, 'Love Creek Productions' in New York City, 'Theatre in the Woods' in Shawano, WI and by the 'Machickanee Players' in Oconto, WI. My first fantasy/romance novel, "In the Light of the Passing: Book 1", was one of six finalists in the 2006 USA Book News competition, and both it and its sequel, "Brinda's Promise: Book 2" received the "Eric Hoffer Book Award for Commercial Fiction" in 2007.  My latest novel, "Fallen Angel", was a finalist in the Chatelaine 2014 Awards for Women's Fiction, and a Bookbzz.com 2015 Prize Writer competition finalist. I grew up long before the age of cellphones and personal computers, and spent most of my younger years helping out with the Holsteins on my parent's farm. I even went as far as to exhibit cattle at local fairs, but that didn't prevent me from her main goal—which was to become a writer. I graduated cum laude from Lawrence University in 1983, where I received the Mary. E. Morton scholarship for a fictional story titled "Bonds" (which just happened to focus on assisting a cow with a difficult calving). Now, with the farm and my childhood far behind me—but not forgotten—I devote my time to creating plays and stories that touch the human heart and show us that dreams exist in all of us . . . we need only to believe. 1997: "Adamantine" (a one-act dramatic play) was performed by Love Creek Productions in NYC
2006: "In the Light of the Passing: Book 1" was named one of six finalists in the USABookNews.com competition.
2007: "In the Light of the Passing: Book 1" & "Brinda's Promise: Book 2" received the Eric Hoffer Book Award for Commercial Fiction.
2014: "Clean Linen" (a 10 minute drama) was the featured play at an evening of reading at The Atlantic Stage, Myrtle Beach, SC.
2014: "Fallen Angel" was named a finalist in the Chatelaine Awards for Women's Fiction.
2015: "Fallen Angel" was a Bookbzz.com Prize Writer competition finalist.
