Born and raised in Norway to a maritime family I sought a Civil Engineering education in the United Kingdom. My problematic attitude towards alcohol made my journey hard and arduous over a period of 12 years, a journey that brought me around the world in different professions before I finally completed my studies in 1972 at the age of 33 and started working in London the same year. In my mid-20s I had decleared myself an atheist, but God did not stop saving me from death when I could not help myself under the influence. In 1975 I got married in Florida and we had two children. The second was born in 1981, the year I started my own Engineering Company in Stuart, Florida. The company grew rapidly and I thought I was on easy stret. When the recession started in 1990 it was coupled with my own marital problems. Losing my family to divorce and my business to recession and bankruptcy sent me into a place so dark I thought I was lost to this world. I finally had to face me and my maker and accept him as my saviour. It took a long time, but I came through.
