A full time novelist and poet, Weslynn McCallister, writing under the pseudonym of Jamie Cortland is the author of romantic suspense novels, Never Trust a Stranger,Skin Deep and What Lies Within. Under her given name, she has written Apache Springs, Wyatt's Deck, and Prophecies of the Ancients, all romance novels. She has also written several poetry books as well as several metaphysical books. pertaining to astrology.  Born in Evansville, Indiana, but raised in Roswell, New Mexico, Weslynn has spent most of her life in the Sun Belt. She attended St. Petersburg Jr. College in St. Petersburg, Fl., business school in Tampa, Fl., and the Laguna Beach School of Art in Laguna Beach, Ca. She has won many awards for poetry in both literary and poetry magazines,and a second place award for Best Romance Novel at the Florida Writer's Conference for the first edition of Apache Springs. Weslynn is a member of Sisters in Crime, and is a founding member of the Florida Writers Association. She is also an affiliate member of the Mystery Writers of America. When she is not writing, she enjoys long nature walks, boating, attending theater, performances, operas and ballroom dancing. She also enjoys traveling and has been to South America, Mexico, Europe and the Hawaiian Islands. Currently, she is living in south Florida and is working on her next romantic suspense novelp> "Dying to Dance," now under contract with World Castle Publishing, LLc will be released in 2015.

Weslynn is an award winning author and poet. Many of her poems have been published in literary magazines and anthologies. Several are featured in her poetry book, "Shifting Sands."
