I'm a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and lived in California most of my life, including 13 years in the middle of the Klamath National Forest - where the profile picture was taken. A few years ago I moved to Northern Idaho because it was on my bucket-list to someday move out of state. I'm known as the Book Lady on Youtube, and in my spare time, I'm an artist. I'm a mother of five and have worked as a preschool teacher, county welfare eligibility worker, paralegal, web designer, news reporter/editor, and cook. I'm a family-rights activist, a blogger, a journaler, and a former home school parent. I've been writing for about 40 years. Since 2001 I've been writing novels for children, teens, and young women.
