Edith Walthour Anderson was born and raised in Allenhurst, Georgia. She is the mother of three beautiful children (Toni, Carnell, and April) and grandmother of five (Desiree, Ashlyn, Taylor, Jermeny, and Patrick Jr). A retired Human Resources Management Advisor with the government for 28 years, she loves to teach and write. As a government employee, she wrote extensively, taught management-employee relations classes, and counselled supervisors and employees.
Dr. Anderson has served as an instructor at Trinity Temple College of Religion, Hinesville, Georgia for seven years. She teaches Christian Education and Christian Counseling.
As an Evangelist/Teacher, she conducts numerous workshops/classes/seminars/lectures on such topics as Prayer, Evangelism, Leadership, Ministerial Ethics, Discipleship, Fasting, Holy Spirit, Nouthetic Counseling, The Assignment, etc.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Administration from St. Leo University, Tampa, Florida; a Masters degree, and a Doctorate degree in Christian Education and Counseling from Trinity Temple College of Religion, Hinesville, Georgia.
She is also a freelance writer with the Savannah Morning News (Bryan County Now) and Coastal Courier (Hinesville, Georgia). Her weekly column, In the Pulpit, is a favorite among readers. She enjoys writing human interest stories. Since becoming a freelance writer, she has written over 500 articles.
In 2006, her first book, Lack of Knowledge, was published. Her second book, Dare to Soar, was released in July 2009. She also serves as the editor for the book, Autobiography of Reverend Charlie (C. L.) Anderson: I am a Poor Boy a Long Way from Home.
She is a passionate teacher and writer. Dr. Anderson truly believes in her favorite quote, "It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not" (author unknown). She loves people and uses her writing as a source of inspiration and encouragement.
