Peter Davies was a territorial soldier in Rhodesia from 1963 to 1975, where he took part in the capture and interrogation of terrorists. Davies' novel, Scatterlings of Africa, is based on his own experience in the war, and personal observations of how terrorist activities impacted Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and its people.

Information
During the Rhodesian civil war of the 1970s, I saw action and took part in captures and interrogation of terrorists. This gave me an insight into terrorist minds, many of who were successfully encouraged to "turn" and fight alongside Rhodesia's soldiers against their former comrades.
I wrote my novel "Scatterlings of Africa" using my own recollections of how the war was fought and how it affected Rhodesia and its people. Scatterlings of Africa is about all the people affected; civilians, soldiers, terrorists, black and white... It also gives people who might be interested an insight into why Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) is in the mess it is today.
