This book is a collection of short stories that depict events in Author's life while she lived in Romania, then in Greece, and last in America. It's a beautiful and very sincere account of a young woman's life and comming to age.

Information
Born in Croatia, given away at four to an aunt and uncle; imprisoned with them in World War II, I was the only one saved by my father, who was imprisoned himself and shot three weeks later. Aunt and uncle perished in Auschwitz.
I arrived in England at 16, not knowing a word of the language, but I fell in love with it and ended teaching it. My childhood and circumstances taught me that life is precious and time should not be wasted. Also, we're here to help and be kind to each other.
I had a massive stroke at 48, but recovered after three years; also I'm diabetic and have angina, but enjoy and love life.
I belong to a local writers' group, The Inn Scribers and enjoy writing poetry and articles.
