Julie Larose hails from Saint-Bruno, Quebec, Canada, where she has been creating stories since she could hold pencil to paper. Her first article was printed in the Montreal newspaper La Presse when she was eleven years old. More recently, she has had writings published in the St. Lawrence EMC, the Prescott Journal, and New Beginnings, Leaven and The Canadian League magazines. "Discovering the Long Way Home" is her first published novel. Julie graduated from the University of Ottawa with a B.A. (Hon) in Religious Studies. Besides her passion for writing, she loves illustrating, gardening and cooking. She volunteers with La Leche League, her church, and various local children’s programs. She now lives in Prescott, Ontario, with her husband and three children. Some of my favourite authors are C.S. Lewis, Martha Findlay, Lucy Maud Montgomery, and Robert Jordan. I enjoy gentle fiction where ordinary people are able to overcome overwhelming situations, and I love books where characters come alive on the page and are rich with backstory.
