Born in Jamaica W.I. Shalene Richards has been writing since primary school.Reading and reciting poetry was fun for her. She use to participate in poetry reading events where she would represent her school. Her first book "Poetic Wings" is in its production stage. thanks to Publish America. Her influenes are her Salome Reid, Washington Wilson, the late Louise Bennette, Maya Angelo, Claude Mckay,Muta Baruka and her son Crisaiah K.Richards.
