Cherif Sidiali has witnessed first hand the social and political changes that occurred during the 1990s' in North Africa as the result of terrorism and violence. Thousands of innocent people have died, children have become orphans, and countries under siege. Cherif's motivation as a writer stems from the political events and social conflicts surrounding the world today. Terrorism, democracy, and religious beliefs are the main topics in his writings.
