I was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA and lived for a number of years in the area where my suspense novel, CROSSHAIRS, takes place. I graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia and have been writing most of my life. ***** I've always looked at writing as a craft that is in some ways similar to carpentry. A good professional carpenter can build anything from a napkin holder to a two-story house. Likewise, a good professional writer should be able to write in nearly any genre because the tools are always the same -- words, sentences, paragraphs, and punctuation. And ideas, of course. ***** Following my own definition I've worked in a number of different genres including literary short stories, romance stories, children's picture book texts, and book reviews, suspense short stories and suspense novels. For more than ten years I was also a publications specialist in local government. In that capacity I wrote and edited newsletters, annual reports, press releases, audio/visual scripts, procedure manuals, technical reports, ceremonial documents, and any other writing or editing assignment that ended up on my desk. I continue to be interested in many different genres and continue to explore as many as time permits.
