The grief I experienced after the death of my mother in 1993 had an enormous impact on me. This event created the realization that in the next few years all my friends would be facing this same life experience. My main concern is that this generation is not prepared and will be going through this together in numbers never seen before. I am regularly presenting to organizations and businesses about this subject. This will have an enormous effect on the workplace and relationships in general if we don't start bringing grief out of the "unmentionable" category. Baby Boomers have an opportunity to make a huge change in the way society deals with this life altering event.    

I present on a regular basis to many community groups, hospices, volunteer groups and businesses. As well I have presented to the Bereavement Ontario Network annual meeting and the Canadian Hospice and Palliative Care Conference in 2007, Buffalo’s Roswell Park Cancer Institute in 2009 and the Ontario Hospice Conference in 2010.
