James Halon published his first book, Poetry, a hardback collection of 55 poems and author drawings, Celo Valley Books, N.C., in 1992, while writing for a radio program called C.R.Y. Cancerns and Resolutions for Youth, at WBBJ radio which was sponsored by the Ada S. McKinley Foundation of Chicago, Illinois. With a life long interest in ESP and Intrigue literature, Mr. Halon was moved to write his first novel, The Malagasy Tortoise, a Jim Morgan Adventure, 424 pages, which was published by In-Your-Hand books, in August 2002. His second novel, Orchids to Die For, a co-authored work with the noted and acclaimed author Catherine Burr, was released on February 14th of 2007, by New Line Press. Between novels, Halon wrote a lot of poetry, over 500 poems and earned the Poet's Laurate Award from Poetry.Com; He also wrote a play called, What a Difference a Little Gold Makes, and a handful of short stories. James Halon is currently writing the third book of his Jim Morgan Series, titled -- Revenge Begets Revenge.

Mr. Halon has won four Golden Poets Awards and has been published in numerous anthologies and magazines around the world. He was also named in the 10th Annual Writer Digest Awards for his intrigue/romance fiction. Earning a silver medal for his Internet works of neo-classical poetry, James often thinks of himself as being more of a Poet than Novelist.
