Samantha has received numerous awards from government officials, prestigious
universities, and organizations for her dedication to the community. Her poetry is
published in several different mediums including newspapers, web related news media, and
her work was first anthologized in a University of Houston publication when she
was just eleven years old.
Samantha is prestigious Red Rose Scholar recipient from the University Of Houston-
Downtown. She is also a community activist and advocate for impoverished children and domestic violence victims.
