Writer, Spiritual Speaker, Poet, and Virtual Assistant, Nicholl McGuire, recently completed "Tell Me Mother You're Sorry" a book that provides experience and tips for sons and daughters considering going low or no contact with difficult mothers, stepmothers, and mother-in-laws. Nicholl also wrote "When Mothers Cry." In the book, McGuire shares her struggles with accepting motherhood and takes the reader on a bumpy journey of self-reflection, observation, and faith using a variety of heartfelt stories.
Published since she was 15 years old, McGuire's early work appeared in various literary anthologies including her college publication entitled, "The Cavalcade" located at Point Park College, Pittsburgh PA. She was also the co-founder of her college's poetry group, "Poetic Voices" from 1994-1996.
Her interest in poetry started when she was only 12 years old. Motivated by her strict upbringing (she was not allowed to hang out with friends outside of school,) McGuire would write pages of both real and imagined stories using both rhyming and contrast poetry writing styles about everything from bad relationships to family issues.
The mother of four sons appreciates the work of the late Maya Angelou, her favorite poet and author.
