I'm an enthusiast of Natural History, and I've acquired numerous college units and spent many summers on various expeditions searching for fossils and minerals. I have a work background that includes driving trucks, managing restaurants, and even several years in the United States Navy. Currently, I manage a business while I contunue my education in the field of Geology. I live near Fairbanks Alaska, where I am an avid outdoorsman and equestrian. Although most shy away from politics, I find them fascinating and I've done some research in the workings of both small and large governments. I even have the battle scars from several attempts at public office (Lost all of them, but came close in a school board election once!) It's a dirty game, but somebody has to play it...I tried...I might try again. Then again, maybe not! It's an expensive hobby and a little more destructive than just going out and picking up rocks... I have a style of writing that is more or less my own, and I try not to imitate anyone elses, but I do have to admit I have found much inspiration in the works of John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and especially, the non-fiction work of Jon Krakauer.

I've climbed all of the 14,000 foot peaks in California, completed the Western States 100 mile horse race, and I have a collection of dozens of museum quality mineral and fossil specimens that I have excavated myself.
I have also won several awards for my poetry in some local competitions here in the Fairbanks area.
Recently, I just finished and published my first mystery, The Temblor of Diablo. I'm working on my next one, which will be new adventures with the same characters.
