Information
I am an English teacher by trade, but writing and reading have always been my passion. My major author influences are Zora Neale Hurston and Richard Wright. They both made me want to become a writer and made me fear becoming one because I don't know if I could ever write like that.
My motivation for writing is pure selfishness. Writing is so much a part of who I am that, if I didn't write, all of the voices and stories in my head would drive me crazy.
