An adopted child, I grew up in Southern California. As a young adult, I searched for and successfully found both of my birth parents and continue to share a unique relationship with them. My experience compelled me to write, fictionalizing the characters and events.

Since my first novel was published, I have become a member of an e-mail adoptee support group. I have continued to write both fiction and non-fiction, and have found how meaningful it is to be a part of a support network.
