Information
I have been writing since I was 10 years old, which was when I had my first rejection! Undaunted, I persevered (despite more rejections) until my children were grown. My thoughts clarify as I write, and when I write fiction, I become intrigued by the characters as they grow and develop. They control me, rather than the other way around.
Accomplishments
I was a winner of a Pulitzer Award for citizen journalism in 2008.
I have had two novels published in 2003 and 2007. The first is A TELLING TIME, (ISBN 1591295912) and the second is A SIGNIFICANT TEST OF BLOOD (ISBN 1413768385).
