I've always loved animals. I walked like a horse before I walked like a human, much to the embarassment of my parents. Stories about animals, especially those with thoughts and feelings like our own, made a huge impact in my life. I was enthralled by Marguerite Henry's "Cinnabar, the One O'Clock Fox". And I can't tell you how many times I read "Black Beauty". All of that anthropomorphism led me to becoming an animal communicator, because I KNEW the animals had something to say to us. Not only that, they want those stories told. Every silly, busy, funny, serious, sweet, generous thing they do has a lesson, if we just listen to them. They live from a place of joy and service to their human friends, and act as a mirror for our best, and our worst. I want to tell their stories, especially to children, so they can learn early on how precious and important these creatures are to our well-being, and how our love for them makes their lives full of purpose and joy.
