I grew up in Texas and even lived on a working cattle ranch, for a while. I've been writing throughout my life, producing everything from song lyrics and poetry to short plays and dialect courses for Renaissance fairs, from ad copy to training manuals, from comic books and short stories to plays and novels. Most of my fiction writing has been in the science fiction and fantasy genres, but I've found that my true home lies in westerns and historical fiction. I am an avid researcher, and have spent time in many of the places that appear in my Western stories. The ghosts of the Old West have always been my neighbors. Now, they are my Muses, as well.
