Born in Harrogate, England in 1951, the family came to Western Australia in 1962. We settled in Perth for three years before moving down to Albany. I finished formal education at Albany Senior High School and later Perth Technical College, where I gained my Diploma in Advanced Studio Pottery. I started writing at the age of 14. In 1990, I received an invitation to submit poetry for publication by the Western Australian Poets Society, entitled W.A. Ink. In 1992, I had my first book ‘Snuffy’s Quest’ accepted for publication in Perth. My first novel, The Eblissian Chronicles is the beginning of a trilogy, and will soon be complete.
