KANDICE PHILLIPS, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana has called Atlanta home for the past decade. Born into a loving family who nurtured her creativity at an early age, she began writing poetry at the age of 13. Growing increasingly infatuated with the art of words, literary form became second nature as she perfected her craft through creative writing, journalism and professional and trade writing. She is published in The Atlanta Voice Newspaper, The Data News Weekly and on various blogs and in trade publications. As a published writer, she has always envisioned herself to be an author first and everything else second. As a lover of music, Kandice enjoys singing and is a proud graduate of Dillard University where she traveled and recorded with their concert choir. She also enjoys painting and woodcrafts.  Kandice has a host of nieces and nephews who she adores and along with publishing volumes of poetry, she would like to publish children’s books and marketing and branding how to books for aspiring business owners.   Kandice is a creative being and has thought-provoking and provocative ideas about love, spirituality and the emergent soul. As a licensed minister she believes that it is a part of her purpose to bridge the gap between spirituality and sexuality and rally her generation towards the true love and power of God. Her personal mantra is “God is love and all manifestations of love, are reflections of God”
