When I was in the seventh grade, my english teacher gave us a homework assignment to cut 50 pictures out of different magazines and write a poem about each one. I received an 'A' on it and took it to show my grandmother.  My grandmother was a elementary teacher and she told me that someday I would be a writer. That stuck with me. I wrote several poems and songs throughout the years.      Then, in April of 07, I was hit head on by an SUV while riding my Harley. I almost lost my left leg and my life. During my year of recovery I wrote my first novel, Thundering Hearts:The Razors Edge.  It was inspired by my love for my fiance Deborah Joan, and my love for riding my Harley. In February of 2009, Kenny Lee is invited to the State Capitol of Kentucky to receive a Senate Citation, honoring him for his book, Thundering Hearts:The Razor's Edge.
