During the day, Ken works as general counsel to a major transportation company. At night (well, actually, in the wee hours of the morning), he writes legal thrillers.  Born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ, upon graduating high school, Ken took off for college at MIT. (Why MIT, if he ended up a lawyer? A long story he'll be glad to share with you when you meet in person.) After MIT, Ken attended Columbia Law School, got his law degree in 1979, and he's been practicing law ever since. As a lawyer, he writes for a living. There are cynics who’d even say lawyers write fiction for a living, so somewhere along the way, Ken started writing novels. Ken is an actively involved member of the Mystery Writers of America, and is serving a third term on the Board of Directors of MWA’s New York chapter. He also serves on the chapter’s Mentor Committee, Program Committee, Membership Committee, and Website Committee, and is the moderator of the chapter’s online discussion forum. For the month of January 2008, only two titles surpassed it on Amazon’s list of Bestselling Legal Thrillers: John Grisham’s The Appeal, and Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird.

Upon completion of his second term on the Board of Directors of MWA's New York chapter, he received that organization’s Silver Noose Award.
