Information
My background is one of obsessive reading. I love to read; not just YA books although I do have an undeniable preference for that particular section at the bookstore! My favorite classics are: Pride and Prejudice and The Witch of Blackbird Pond. Some more current favorites are: Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman and Goose Girl by Shannon Hale.
I've been writing stories for as long as I can remember. I always wanted to be a writer and an artist when I "grew up" so with the recent release of my first YA fiction novel, Meeting Lizzy, I can say I'm 50% successful according to my childhood dreams. And that's pretty exciting...how many of us can actually say that, right?
Things I find influencing my writing are: music, strangers, memories, moods, sounds, food, friends and family...pretty much everything, I guess.
