From an early age, I loved to write ,and I'm now a newspaper columnist (12th year, 600 columns with Houston Community Newspapers), national speaker and author of A Still and Quiet Soul: Embracing Contentment (2011), The Stained Glass Pickup: Glimpses of God's Uncommon Wisdom (2006), and co-author of a series A Scrapbook of Motherhood Firsts (2012), and A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts (2008). I enjoy these creative outlets because they allow me to stay in touch with today's busy young women, offering inspiration to meet their obligations with joy and contentment.
Glimpse my pesonal life: I love Jesus. And I enjoy a lot of other blessings. I'm regularly temtped to over indulge in cookies. Cookies are my nemesis to good sense and good nutrition. I really can gobble down quite a few cookies, especially the warm and fragrant ones right out of the oven. That's why I have an oven gone cold....most days. An additional: I love going on dates with my husband in our 1948 Chevy, five-window, butter cream colored pickup truck.
