Ten years ago Nancy Leigh Harless was given a life-changing gift. She participated in an international professional exchange program in Central America through The Rotary International. As her view of the world enlarged, a fire and a fury unleashed from inside her for travel and for telling about her experiences. She began to write.  Nancy travels often now, usually off the well-paved road. To date, she has had the good fortune to live in or visit, fifteen countries. She’s opened a Women’s Clinic in southern Belize, worked in the war recovery effort in The Balkans and studied alternative medicine in the highlands of Peru. What she has come to know for sure is the message of her book - WOMANKIND: Connection and Wisdom Around the World: Although the colors of our skin may vary, and our ways of being are many; people everywhere, especially in the realm of emotions, are more alike than we are different.
