With new civilizations comes the discovery of Self…”   Mr. Shannon Lejuan Clements is an African American Writer whom resides in Detroit, Michigan. He was born to two great parents, Mrs. Juanita Clements-Adams and Mr. Jimmy Lee West II, on March 9, 1977. He attended Martin Luther King Preschool, Bagley Elementary School, Hampton Middle School, Mumford Highschool, Phillip A. Randolph Vocational Technical Center, Focus:Hope Fastrack, Focus:Hope Machinist Training, and attended Henry Ford Community College for a semester. His Talents consist of having poems published by PublishAmerica in whom published the work “From The Mind Of Mentalllll”. He has also published individual poems through: Poetry.com, The Famous Poets Society, The League Of American Poets Society, JMW Publishing Company, and currently is waiting for another poem to be published in the winter of 2008 by Noble House Publishers. He is a former member of the Vocational Industrial Club Of America ( V.I.C.A.) where he helped win the bronze medal in the regional competitions and move on to the state competitions. While working for Meridian Automotive Systems( where he worked as an Production Associate and promoted to Production Finisher) Mr. Shannon Lejuan Clements was voted onto the Safety Team and was accredited by the American Red Cross Association with his Adult CPR and Standard First Aid cards. In the past he has done volunteer work for The Honorable Mr. President George W. Bush Jr. re-election campaign, The Honorable Mr. Kwame M. Kilpatrick re-election campaign, Keith Butler for U.S. Senate campaign, and the Dick DeVos for Governor campaign. Currently he is working for the Honorable Mr. U.S. Senator John McCain Presidential campaign. Mr. Shannon Lejuan Clements was appointed, and is now a former member of, as an Honorary Chairman for the Business Advisory Council and awarded the National Leadership Award for 2006 in association with the National Republican Congressional Committee. He is also a former member of the Wayne County Republican Committee, The Republican Black Caucus, The National Republican Committee, and a former member of the International Society of Poets. He also has his own poetry publishing website called Poerty 4 dat Azz on poetry poem.com.
