Information
After many years of writing and publishing poetry (still my first love), and an environmental memoir, Back to Abnormal, I am tickled to have my first novel, JUMPING, forthcoming this fall from Ink Brush Press. This novel pulls together the mining history of the Appalachian South with a similar history in southern Mexico.
I've had the great fortune to have served as Artist-in-Residence for Grand Canyon National Park and will serve ion the same capacity at Everglades National Park in October, 2017.
Some of my literary influences have been Gerard Manley Hopkins, Fred Chappell, Edward Abbey, and Mary Oliver.
