I was born in Knoxville, Tennesse daughter of a career Army seargeant.  I lived around the world and saw many things and experienced different cultures very early in life.  I eventually settled back in Tennesse where I finished growing up.  I have always been an introspective extrovert who loves animals, the outdoors and any means of self expression.  I developed an early interest in painting animals and landscapes, especially horses and reading everything I could get my hands on.  My family lived in the city and my father didn't like horses so I couldn't have one of my own.  So I made do with the occasional ride at riding stables in the Great Smoky Mountains.  In my teens I developed an interest in both martial arts and dance and I won an art scholarship to Roane State Community College.  While attending Roane State I became a published poet.  After attending college I married and became gainfully employed, but I still dreamed of being an artist and a writer.  However my passion for horses was finally realized and I began breeding horses in the late 90's.   I became heavily involved in the Morab breed industry and upon discovering there was only spotty information available to the public about the breed set out to correct that lack.  In November of 2008 my first non-fiction book was published under the title of "The Illustrated Guide To The Morab Horse: With the History, Families and Standards of The Arabian Horse and The Morgan Horse."  I also have more book projects in the works and I'm planning some fiction horse stories, an occult thriller and and fantasy sci-fi novel.
